2025 Stationery Review

It’s time to look back at 2025. Mainly for myself to review what I even did all year. It’s honestly not easy to remember a full year at my age. 😉

The biggest accomplishment (stationery wise) is probably the fact that I managed to finish 38 ink samples this year. That’s not as many as 2024, where I finished 57, but then that year I picked out the ones with the least amount of ink, so I had to work harder this year. Still great progress and I now have only 40 samples left. I might even be able to finish them all in 2024!

I didn’t buy many pens (by my standards) in 2025. A few Chinese pens here and there (as you do) and then the Eureka Asymmetry and I was gifted a Tom’s Studio Pocket pen. Both amazing pens, and I could see myself getting at least one more from each brand.

2025 also marked the 8 year anniversary of FPC. Most of the year was spent on behind the scenes updates to keep the site running without daily intervention of yours truly, but I was able to add a few fun extra features here and there. Oh, and I created my first stickers (and T-Shirt) to take to the Pelikan Hub!

For 2026 I will try to work on the ink samples. It’s fun to see the empty vials pile up, but at some point it would be nice to be done with it and to actually use the ink in the 100+ bottles I also own.

Of course there will be more work on FPC, there’s still so much to do and always so little time. I will see if I can finally get the pens section to be as feature rich as the one for the inks (reviews, descriptions, etc.). There’s also a lot of behind the scenes maintenance work left that I should eventually tackle. As always, help is welcome, it’s an open source project, after all. And maybe I’ll be able to create a few more sticker designs and maybe sell those? That would be fun, but I am not sure I have the time to spend on this (and other FPC themed things …).

There we go, my short recap of my stationery life in 2025. Quite slow paced compared to other years, it seems! How as your stationery year and do you plan anything for 2026?
