Early in January, I had a nasty cold and couldn’t do much outside of watching YouTube videos. For some reason I ended up watching tutorials on Urban Sketching. I then started to give it a try assuming that I wouldn’t be good at it anyway, but I did look fun.
At first I used my fountain pen inks to colour everything in, but my parents had two old watercolour palettes that I then used to build myself my own little travel palette.
I then added some traveling water brushes, a fountain pen with permanent ink, pencil and eraser and ended up with this kit.
All that while getting to do various sketches and improving quite a bit, I think.
These are all the sketches I created this month, ordered chronologically.
